Community Choir
Calling all singers!
The Armadale Arts Festival 2022 is calling for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to join an exciting new choir project by renowned Armadale musician and music teacher Bree Hartley.
Announced as the ‘Festival Artist’ for 2022, Bree is creating a new, wonderful and inclusive community choir, which will rehearse and perform in this year’s Armadale Arts Festival.
The focus of the choir will be community and ‘coming together’, and the choir will work on five pieces that explore ideas of connection.
All levels of music ability will be catered for and no music reading ability is required! Just a commitment to attend rehearsals in the four weeks leading up to the festival, and to perform in the concert as the finale for the Armadale Arts Festival 2022 on Sunday 15th May.
Participants with diverse access needs are welcomed. Needs such as Braille songbooks, Auslan interpretation and others can be requested as part of the registration process. All ages welcome, but most suitable for people over the age of twelve years.
Come and join Bree Hartley, and her experienced group of supporting musicians for a community choir experience. Make new friends, experience the joy of singing together and perform in the Armadale Arts Festival 2022.
“What I love about music making is how it brings people together. Whether playing an instrument, singing, or listening in the audience, you all become ‘one’ for that moment in time.” – Bree Hartley
