Immerse your senses in the creativity of the Minnawarra Art Awards while enjoying intimate live performances featuring local talented musicians in this creative pop-up performance space.

This year, we’re thrilled to bring you the talents of local musicians Cathy Travers and Adrian Tanner in the following sessions:

Cathie Travers – Sunday 4 May 2025, 1.00pm
Is it a noisy squeezebox or the sensuous voice of tango? Meet the accordion as Cathie Travers journeys on the musical byways of gypsy jazz, traditional folk from Europe, tango from Argentina, the bold rhythms of Brasil and the more gentle bossa nova…along with a couple of her original tunes too!
Cathie has worked all around Australia, with occasional forays to Europe and the USA – playing in concert halls, pubs, theatres, backyard house concerts, recording studios, and live film soundtracks with orchestra.

Adrian Tanner – Saturday 10 May 2025, 11.00am
Adrian is a proud Noongar man who loves his culture and is passionate about practising and sharing his culture. Involved in a number of educational activities locally, Adrian hopes that his work in spreading knowledge of Nyoongar culture through crafting cultural artefacts such as didgeridoos, traditional cooking, hunting and stone tools will inspire children to explore and connect with their culture.
