Armadale Arts Festival Community Choir Rehearsals

Join us for a community choir experience – where we spend three weeks rehearsing approximately five songs. These songs will be easy to learn in the time we have, but with enough challenge that experienced singers will also enjoy the journey. We will be working toward a final public performance on Sunday 15th May at the Armadale District Hall – this might seem daunting, but don’t worry as the focus is on the process, which will ensure the group is ready for this!

Run by this year’s Festival Artist Bree Hartley, this choir is about the community coming together. It is hoped that choir members will come from all parts of our local community so we have a choir that truly represents who we are.

This is an accessible and inclusive event and we encourage everyone to come a join in the fun! Find out more information at armadaleartsfestival.com.au

The Art Larks Classes

The Art Larks Classes, like the symbolic meaning of the bird, will aim to install a change of mood, representing the arrival of something wonderful for its participants.
Supported by the City of Armadale, this special festival price for an introductory course of six visual arts workshops is for adults who are ready to discover something wonderful (again) about themselves.

Enjoy working in a beautiful gallery environment with a supportive, creative and committed team learning techniques in hand-built ceramics and mosaics for the home. Companion Cards are accepted and welcome.

Sewn with Love (Community Wagga)

To celebrate positive community spirit and caring, a group of respected artisans, the UFO’s (Unfinished Object Creatives), will assist participants in making an item that represents warmth, love and support.
The giant cloth will include personal symbols/colours and be metaphorically woven with comfort, support and protection. In the energising space of Waterwheel Gallery this blanket it is hoped will benefit the community.

“Creativity is Intelligence having Fun” – Albert Einstein (and) our very own Trudi Pollard’s frequent quote.

The Three Well Known Australians exhibition returns to Perth every ten years and this year it is coming to Armadale Library for the Armadale Arts Festival.

This timeless painting encourages you to capture the spirit of the Three Australians in the painting by leaving your opinion of who they are in the 2022 Perth yearbook. These comments and opinions will continue to stay with the exhibition as it continues to tour.
