As one of the City's premium events, the renowned Minnawarra Art Awards presents a beautifully curated exhibition showcasing a variety of mediums from some of Western Australia's most prestigious artists.Deaf and hard of hearing visitors are invited to join our free Auslan-interpreted tours at this year's exhibition. Tours are led by interpreters from Auslan Stage Left and will guide participants through select pieces, incorporating artist insights into the creative process and curator thoughts and feedback. Plein air painting describes the process of painting a landscape whilst immersed in the outdoors. Come along to join this special session of the Armadale Hills Plein Air group at the Armadale Environmental Centre. Set up your easel or pull out your sketchbook and be inspired by local earth art from the Armadale Arts Bush Trail and the incredible bushlands at the foot of the Perth Hills. Bring your own materials or use the equi pment provided to unleash your imagination. A complimentary morning tea will also be provided.
The Armadale Arts Bush Trail returns in 2024 to the Armadale Environmental Centre, in a celebration of sustainable creativity. Professional artists as well as local school and community groups have used nature as a landscape to create artworks using exclusively natural materials.
