ReDiscover Armadale Urban Art Trail

In partnership with Six Two Three Zero, the City of Armadale proudly presents ReDiscover Armadale: a walking urban art trail. ReDiscover Armadale showcases local, national and international artists through a series of murals. Enjoy a walking tour of Armadale and witness the streets come alive with creative energy. Armadale Arts Bush Trail

The Armadale Arts Bush Trail returns in 2024 to the Armadale Environmental Centre, in a celebration of sustainable creativity. Professional artists as well as local school and community groups have used nature as a landscape to create artworks using exclusively natural materials. This free trail invites you to discover the extraordinary connection between community, art and environment. Lester Prize Local School Mini Exhibition

Budding young artists from local Armadale schools have had the opportunity to learn portraiture skills from a leading artist and teacher featured in the inaugural Lester Prize Exhibition.The Lester Prize is one of the country's most recognised and prestigious fine art prizes, exhibited at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Come and check out the self-portraits created by our wonderful Year 9 and 10 students.

Minnawarra Art Awards

The Minnawarra Art Awards showcases some of Western Australia's best artists. This year we welcome back Ron Nyisztor as the curator.The $25,000 prize pool has been continued, ensuring this professionally curated exhibition provides viewers with a powerful show of high calibre and diverse artworks. An exciting public program includes curator and artist floor talks and Positive Ageing High Teas. It's not just arts lovers that are able to revel in this creative visual feast!

Sensorium Theatre is Australia's only company making immersive, multi-sensory theatre specifically for young audiences with disability.
Sensorium Theatre will be revving up the green machine at the Armadale District Hall! Join us for a sensory storytelling of 'Ten Tiny Things', created by Meg McKinlay and Kyle Hughes-Odgers. Children and their families will slow down and go on an interactive journey to discover ten tiny things through all the senses!

Have your kids outgrown their clothes? Join the movement to reduce textile waste in landfill by participating in the Swap - Don't Shop! Children's Clothing Event. Friday 17 May: bring along baby, toddler and children's clothing (up to twelve years, on hangers) and shoes that are worthy of a longer lifespan. Please ensure items are in good, wearable condition. Maternity wear is also welcome. Saturday 18 May: bring a reusable shopping bag to shop for "new" items to take home.

An Evening of John Denver With Strings

In an era when popular music absorbed the connection of the common person, and utilised the beauty of Strings to lift music to poetic heights, John Denver personified the art of singer-songwriting. Wayne Perry, Armadale's 2024 Festival Artist, eloquently performs the greatest of John Denver's songs and is joined by banjo legend Ian Simpson in a unique collaboration with musical director and musical arranger, Rachel John. The Classic Sounds Orchestra delivers the melting string parts of John Denver's greatest recordings and presents to you, An Evening of John Denver With Strings.
